Member form

Ordinary Members are individuals who wish to join MAS directly instead of via a Member Club. Note that Ordinary Members may also join a Member Club.

To become an Ordinary Member of the MAS, applicants need to agree with the Objects of the MAS Constitution, which state:

The Objects for which the Monaro Acclimatisation Society Incorporated is established are:

1. To act as a governing body and coordinating body for Member Clubs and Ordinary Members.

2. To liaise on behalf of Member Clubs and Ordinary Members with the NSW Council of Freshwater Anglers Incorporated, government departments, statutory authorities or other bodies whose activities affect freshwater angling.

3. To engage with kindred bodies, speak on behalf of Member Clubs and Ordinary Members on fishing matters, and to represent Member Clubs and Ordinary Members on councils, deputations, affiliate meetings and conferences.

4. The hatching, rearing and distribution of salmonids and indigenous fish.

5. To act generally to further the interests of the Monaro Acclimatisation Society on all matters relating to fish and fisheries.

6. To do all things incidental to any of the objects aforesaid and without restricting the generality of this clause to acquire premises and to borrow or raise money and disperse the same in such manner and on such terms as the Monaro Acclimatisation Society shall think fit.  

An Ordinary Member may also be a member of one of the MAS’ Member Clubs.
